Getting involved with the National STEM Honor Society™ (NSTEM) is a great way to grow your skills, connect with your community, and bring real-world STEM ideas to life. Here is how you can jump in and make a real impact:
1. Take on a Leadership Role
Don’t just join—lead! Step up to a role in your chapter or community to build your leadership skills, help plan events, and motivate other members. You can also explore the NSTEM Resource Library for pre-made programs, curricula, and enrichment activities that teachers, students, and parents can use.
2. Focus on Hands-On Projects
Jump into STEM Project-Based Learning (PBL) by tackling real-world problems. Try focusing your projects on sustainability to help solve current environmental and community challenges. You will also get the chance to show off your ideas, creative solutions, and practical skills at the annual PBL Showcase.
3. Build a Support Network
Reach out to local businesses, school administrators, teachers, and parents to build strong community partnerships. Keep them in the loop throughout the year by inviting them to events and staying in regular contact.
4. Show Off Your Pride & Connect Online
• Wear the Gear: Visit the NSTEM online store to grab official merchandise and apparel for you and your family.
• Get Social: Follow, like, and tag NSTEM across social media—you can find us on YouTube, LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, X (Twitter), and TikTok.
• Use Official Branding: Download official NSTEM logos and icons to use on your flyers, announcements, and social posts.
